Minnie Dachshund Adult Female in Lyman, Vermont

My story

Minnie

Female, Dachshund long-haired mix, Estimated Date of Birth 6/8/2016 (6 years old), weight 10lbs

Much loved throughout her life, adorable Minnie has found herself in want of a new home and companion upon the death of her owner.  She has adapted remarkably well to her foster home and rowdy siblings.  An only dog in her prior circumstances, she is enjoying the playful friendship of the clownish chihuahua’s and, while remaining correct and ladylike, she’s been known to get a little wild on occasion.   She would do great as an only dog in a home where she gets lots of attention and she can reign supreme, but she would also enjoy the company of other dogs under 10 pounds.  She initiates play constantly: by herself with stuffed animals and squeaky toys; with her siblings and her foster mom, too.  An ardent blanket collector, she has piles of them around her foster home which she diligently arranges into nests.  She’s mischievously swiped a few throw blankets for that purpose as well.

Minnie is a love-bug and Velcro dog.  She makes her mom feel like a complete rock-star when she comes home from work, running in circles, jumping for joy and wagging her tail furiously.  Her favorite place is by her foster mom’s side, in her lap or cuddled little-spoon like in the big people bed.  She has the sweetest, most loving personality.  A wee bit spoiled befitting her regal status, she appreciates being hand fed (if you have the time!) Or tiny piles of kibble next to her bowl.  She is house trained, obeys the “go potty” command when all the dogs go outside and has learned to use the doggy door.  Good girl, Minnie!

Minnie would love to write the next chapter in her life and be a cherished, loyal, faithful companion for a very special someone.  Will that someone be you?
